Get in contact with the people
Our tours are different from other guided tours or sightseeing holidays. Our tours expose you to our beautiful weather, breath-taking views, and historical landmarks. In addition, Atamela Tours will give you the cultural encounter of a lifetime, exposing you to the heart of our diverse culture and its people. The main focus of our tours is to bring people, whilst making it possible for them to learn from each other.
Get to know Atamela Tours
Atamela Tours was founded in the township of Soweto in Johannesburg, which it still warmly calls home. The founder of Atamela Tours, Miss Thuli Khumalo, has also lived and worked in Germany for 6 years. This exposure and unique mix of African and European cultures, combine to deliver a richer and more diverse tourist experience through Atamela Tours.
We prefer quality over quantity. Each of our tours shows you a snapshot of the real Africa. Our tours aim to bring people together and connecting people with different characters as well as diverse backgrounds from all over the world. We encourage learning from one another in order to appreciate each another.
More culture, less tourism
Visit, explore and experience South African culture not just as a tourist. Atamela Tours will show you the colorful and unique culture of South Africa and surrounding countries, on a more intimate and educational level.

We work very closely with the Kliptown Youth Program. We believe that it is always good to give back to the youth and community. Visit their website for a full list of their programmes.
